At CeBIT we saw a new Personal Navigation Device from GlobalSat but there was no data on it. The All-In-One devices seemed to be one of the themes of the show, the other was SiRF StarIII.
I now have received the specifications of the device, and surprise, surprise it is both a PND and has the SiRF StarIII GPS chipset in it. Not only that but it is also a multimedia player, showing your movie clips and playing MP3 and Windows Media files.
When I asked about the operating system I was told that it is Windows CE.NET 4.2 and it is not locked so you can install any WinCE.net applications that you want to. My next question was about the navigation software, this appears to be new software developed by GlobalSat themselves, and has map data for either Europe of the USA.
The GlobalSat GV-101 will be in the stores early summer.

Hello
I think GlobalSat is using the Prymenav mapping software for this GV101.
this is the software I know it have voice on PC so it will have voice commend for the notebook.the all-in-one software is one mapping software support PPC,Smartphone, PC. and map for NAmerican/Europe. what a software!! price is around $110.00 US.
