You did, Leadtek are bringing out their own Bluetooth Receiver soon, and the internals will also be available inside a TomTom Bluetooth GPS soon also. Currently the only Bluetooth GPS Receivers out are the Emtac/Socket ones which we reviewed here.

Pharos have just brought out a Bluetooth Receiver, you can read about it on our news page or here. There's also a Fortuna GPSmart handheld receiver that also had Bluetooth connectivity which although very basic, might work well in-cockpit.

Currently the Emtac/Socket is around £240 but it's well worth the money and will give you up to 6 hours GPS time.

Thanks Dave,

Do you have any idea of the est roll out for leadtek or tomtoms version of this receiver, or do you feel that the emtak receiver is of the same ilk, or any pro's & con's of existing or up and coming products.

can you give some idea of reliable retail outlets for these goods in the uk.

Thanks

Phil
