Quick access to battery indicator?

Hi,

I like to keep an eye on the state of the battery in my mobile kit but it takes at least four clicks to see the battery indicator on my MyGuide 6500XL. Is there any way to see the battery indicator on the opening screen or to have a shortcut to the battery indicator on that screen?
