Has anyone tried the route demo facility.
Apart from the fact that it shows you driving at speeds above the speed limit eg 75 on motorways, it doesn't seem to reach the end of the route on longer journeys before going back the the start. Thus you don't get a demo of the last part of the journey.
Are these glitches or what? _________________ Laidlaw Bob |

How long is a 'longer' journey? As far as I recall, it's always got to the end of journeys I've looked at (up to nearly 100 miles) - except when I've got bored and interrupted it!
Maybe there is a finite limit to the duration - I don't know. How long would you want to watch it for? Even at 4 x real-time speed, a 200 mile journey simulation still gets pretty boring!

It recycles after about 90 miles. Can't be by design can it? I've assumed it's another bug. |

Well,I've just set mine off on a journey from Warwick to Plymouth - we'll see how far it gets.
Incidentally, although you can select simulation speeds of up to 500%, mine seems not to give voice prompts at anything over 400% Have other people also found this?

Looks like you might be right!
My Warwick to Plymouth simulation got as far as M5 J17 (around Bristol) and then started over!

It's a built in 135Km limit. In my opinion not a very good demo.'' _________________ Richard

Are we talking the new 300 unit or the old TTG Classic? |

It's the V5 software, not the model of GO. So should be the same for all. |

Yup, restarts after about 90 miles on my (original) GO with v5. Shame, really, as it's a good idea. Shouldn't be too tricky to fix in subsequent software releases. |

Can anyone seriously say they sit through a 90 miles demo? _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |
