The short answer is that the Speed camera database doesn't work well with Garmin GPS units. Crying or Very sad

You can add the locations as waypoints, but only up to 500 or so locations (depending on the model of GPS). Also, Garmin doesn't have a way that you can set proximity alerts for a large number of waypoints (typically it's limited to around 10 waypoints with proximity warnings).

This may not apply to the Palm/PocketPC Garmins (the "Que" series) where you may be able to run a third party program to do the POI alerts. Can any Que owners comment on this?

One of the forum users did make an overlay POI map for Garmin GPS units, I don't know if he has released it publicly and I haven't had a chance to try it out on my GPS-V yet. Read the thread here.
