I used to use the TrafCam software on a Handspring with GPS module and it worked brilliantly; the problem was I couldn't use the Tom Tom CityMaps software simultaneously and have subsequently sold the whole unit (d'oh!) to purchase a Garmin Etrex with cable and Infomap Navigator software.

This works brilliantly for sat nav around the UK and Europe, but now I don't have any GPS traffic camera software.

Is there anybody who produces, or is looking to produce, a trafcam GPS software for the laptop that'll run simultaneously with my sat nav software?

The trouble with this is it's not possible for two apps to simultaneously process data from a single GPS data stream. If there was an SDK available for Infomap and enough interest then a 3rd party could code a plugin but I don't think there is (an SDK that is!).

It is possible to code plug-ins for Microsoft MapPoint but this isn't the solution you want to hear! See Advanced GPS for MapPoint but this lacks the voice feature that Infomap has.

Thought as much, but worth a try!

Thanks for your help - guess I'll be looking for an Origin-I or something to replace the PDA function then!!

The Cyclops was a great Gatso unit, if you don't need the GPS facility of the Road Angel then it had much better alerting and software filtering that only alerted you of cameras on your side of the road and in your direction of travel.
