I'm finding that it's quite difficult to acquire 3 satellites when walking the streets in Brussels. I suspect all the concrete buildings and narrow streets are the hinderance. Is there an alternativ ...

I never attempted to get mapolis going on the m130 w/ gps. However, I'm seeing a better option, possibly. The Delorme Earthmate GPS LT-40 is quite cheap, and supports palmos as old as 3.5.

Has an ...

What is the OS? Is it a Symbian variant or something new?
It uses Maemo, which is a variant of Debian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N800).

BTW, I didn't think Symbian was linux. I keep ...

Has anyone attempted to run TTN6 on a PalmOS emulator?

I'm assuming TomTom does not make a linux version that will run on a Nokia N800, but there is a Palm emulator for linux.

The Nokia N800 (an open, portable, linux platform) has an option called the Nokia Navigation Kit - which costs as much as the device. I have my own BT GPS receiver, which could theoretically connect ...

I am a pilot, so your feedback was indeed helpful. Though the price is nuts, perhaps even for aviation.

I figured the s/w would be lacking; but then I could always take an interest in writing it m ...

I've noticed only high-end all-in-one nav systems have gyroscope support. I've been searching around for a bluetooth or even serial gyroscope, so PDA users can get the same feature, with no success. ...

Good finds people! Could be useful for advanced planning.

I hope Google Maps for Palm will talk directly to TTN6 for palm at some point. Also looks like GE for the Mac doesn't support it yet.. ...

You appear to be confused as to what Google Earth is. Firstly it is a desktop application for a PC or Mac, it cannot be used on a PDA of any sort.
Google makes a version for PalmOS, downloadable as ...
