I emailed Handnav to ask a question before I made a purchase, that was 2 weeks ago!! I still haven't had a reply.

I too experienced the 'connecting to host' message, i narrowed it down to my Journal Bar.
I'm not sure if its going to help you out but all i did was tap the tick icon to stop it trying to connec ... |
