Looking further at hybrid or satellite view - it defaults to a view from what appears to be at around 10000 - 15000ft.
I can then zoom in manually to get the view I want.

Appears GPS is finding me BUT the auto zoom isn’t working. All I have is a picture of the UK with my location flashing on it. No zoom into my location.

Only a workaround if you have an old TomTom/Garmin - for the rest of us mere mortals that might not be the case. I’m in the latter category.

Cameralert is now dead on my iPhone just as Apple said with IOS 11 AND my subscription runs until July 2018 - what a rip off from PocketGPSworld.
