Sorted, now instead of getting the message:

"W-SPECS:82503@50"

I get:

"Average Speed Camera 50"

and for the others I get:

"Mobile Camera 50"
"Speed Camera 50"
"Poss Camera Site 50"
" ...

I'm getting there, I can use the "Text to Colums Wizard" and do it that way.

I will try the results on the Nissan Connect and post back.

MaFt, you're correct, the Connect system does need only 3 but can use more.
I tried the comma conversion thing but it just changed all the @ symbols to commas in the same excel cell.

It wouldnt take much to add this facility, but then nobody would need to upgrade and TomTom wouldnt like that.

try setting your ipaq to other NMEA with baud rate 9600, I know you have bluetooth but this sometimes works.

have you tried turning of voice guidance?

As far as I know the latest TT UK map is v605. If it is on an SD card you can try it with TT3 but I cant say if it will work or not.

I presume its a wired GPS? If so try using the TomTom cable GPS option instead of NMEA. It may take a minute or two to pick up the Sats. If the small yellow circle starts spinning you are sorted.
