I also have a nuvi 300.
POIs are not visible when navigating a route - only if selected as the destination. I think that the map would be rather cluttered if they were all shown.

Yes Phil you are perfectly correct. I was confusing myself with the the first bit and 0.3 miles equals 528yds.
At least we seem to have got there in the end. |

I also thought at first that the * meant x but in the formula 36 x 30 =1080?? what are the units. The value would also be different if kph were used.

I think that you will find that without the full Europe maps you can only route to major towns and cities via main roads which are all that are shown on the base map.

One thing to bear in mind is that the 300 is supplied with a carry case and also a USB lead which you would have to pay extra for with the 205.

I also have a Nuvi 300 but prefer the 'Speed Zoned Complete' database. When I first joined I downloaded all three and tried them all to see which one I liked best. |
