Once I got mine angled, mine is OK.

Obviously different cars, seating positions, unit mounting positions, etc

True, I just couldn't find that sweet spot.

As mentioned, road names are silly if you're not local.

To be fair, the BBC are just as bad; often the local news (TV and or radio) will announce something like 'the A617 between Mansfield and Newa ...

Curious one this, Garmin have always tended to use road names rather than road numbers, there must be a reason for it?

In the APP setting there's 'advanced' at the bottom of the list and in there is an option to set the warning volume relative to the music/audio volume....does that not make a difference?

Well, the 5" mirror is not as bad when bolted to the central air vent. Tilted back a little with the brightness on 100% improves the situation, but I can still see some of the overhead console outline ...
