If I use the 'install new ones' option does it leave the existing ones and add the new ones.
It overwrites.
I understood that the Garmin POI loading over writes the whole of the POI.

the latest version of poi loader has an option to remove any currently installed POIs or to install new ones. have you tried the remove option?
