Sony have said they will release a map update around September -
Yes you can put speed cameras on - the device is basically a Navman ICN650 so use the files and instructions for this device.

Yes, I think you are right, it is probably as cheap to buy a complete antenna with the correct plug. Just have to keep this one for a future gps unit. Thanks for the replies.
