It has been reported that speed tickets have been issued to parked cars in New Orleans since 2011.

When a speeding car passes certain cameras, vehicles that just happen to be parked within said camera's vision, sometimes get ticketed instead.

One man, Donald Schultz, has had it happen 11 times outside his home.

His innocently parked car and lorry are regularly recorded speeding and he's had to argue his case in front of a judge before the fines are rescinded.

This means that the ticket goes to the innocent man whilst the speeder goes undetected.

City officials say that technicians who administer the cameras and tickets would be retrained.

It does beg the question that if this has been proven to happen in one area, how many incorrect tickets have been issued worldwide due to similar problems?

I thought over here that the operators get 2 photos to work with so it shouldn't happen ?
