Just for the record, Daryn the tech support at Satmap advised I simply lock the keypad, which kind-of suggests there isn't any other way to achieve the desired result.What am I doing wrong?

My SatMap 12 has a habit of deleting the trip information and the trail/track if it is turned on and connected to the computer for a while. It does this all on its own! which is very annoying if ...Following a route

If it is like the 10, then try the left button under the screen on front when showing the map (probably has a circle with spot in centre above in on screen- Spot Button in guide).
