A speed camera petition has led to a speed limit being raised by 10mph.
The new limit will be in place on Grimsby's Peaks Parkway by the end of October 2014. The town stretch of the road will increase from 30mph to 40mph.
It was reported that there was "widespread outrage" after drivers starting receiving speeding fines following the installation of average speed cameras along the stretch last October.
