TomTom Development Moves to Eindhoven

pocketgpsworld.com TomTom today announced it will open a new centre in Eindhoven, Holland as part of the build up of its automotive research and development operations. With plans to recruit 200 engineers TomTom clearly have the automotive market in their sights.

Harry van de Kraats, Director of Human Resources & Organisation at TomTom said, “We look forward to offering bright individuals the chance to join the TomTom team and help us bring the industry’s leading navigation products and services to consumers and car manufacturers worldwide.”

Interestingly this announcement comes in the wake of news reported in a Dutch publication that TomTom will also be taking over a part of VDO Dayton with 90 staff changing camp. With TomTom growing rapidly this will come as welcome news as there were suggestions TomTom were considering moving development to India.
