News: Speed Camera System Clocks Up Half A Million Pounds

A set of average speed cameras that went live in January have already caught out almost 7,000 drivers breaking the 50mph speed limit.

It's estimated that the new cameras, which monitor the Port Talbot stretch of the M4, have netted over half a million pounds in fines in the period from 19 January to 3 June 2015. From January 1st to the 19th, speeders were just sent a warning letter.
