News: North Korea deploys electronic jamming again

North Korea is up to its old tricks again. The North has been actively disrupting GPS and other radio signals since April 28th says the Seoul based Korea Communications Commission.

Jamming efforts by the North have affected more than 600 flights operated by South Korean airlines and foreign carriers. Shipping has also been affected by the disruption to GPS.

Safety has, so far, not been an issue with aviation and shipping relying on other navigation systems. North Korea has a history of jamming electronic signals. We reported a similar event in March 2011.
