News: Garmin Issue World-Wide Nuvi Recall

pocketgpsworld.comGarmin have issued a world-wide recall of a number of Nuvi model GPS units citing a potential issue with the batteries overheating.

Reports suggest there have been 10 cases to date of units overheating as a result of this fault although no injuries have been reported.

Models affected include the 200W, 250W, 260W and 7xx.

Owners can check if they are affected by entering their device serial number on a special page at the Garmin web-site here.
