News: Google Pins Further Revenue Growth Hopes on GPS Based Ads

pocketgpsworld.comGoogle will be increasing their efforts to get even more of their adverts in front of the world's smartphone population as they use their devices for navigation.

Reuters have reported that Google predicts that its per-advert click revenue derived from smartphones will eventually exceed the market rates of its existing desktop business.

There is a huge growth in mobile browsing and navigation due to the ever-increasing take up of multi-tasking smartphones which Google is seeking to further capitalise on.

The company expects the rates that advertisers are willing to pay per click will surpass the less targeted PC-based model. GPS data that pinpoints a smartphone's location help Google serve more relevant mobile ads that in turn increase advertisers conversion rates and profitability.
