Dead GO 720

[Calomax]

My GO 720 has stopped reacting to the bottom left button no matter how hard I press it. I'm assuming that I can't do anything to put it right but I hope someone knows better. Have reset it and updated it using Home to no avail.

In the meantime I'm trying the app on my Android phone before deciding whether to stick with it or buy a new GO 51 from Amazon at £126. Would that be a good choice? Bearing in mind that I only use it a few times a year but I don't want a Start.

A few things to try:-
a) run a business card or similar all the way round under the screen bezel in case there's a speck of dust or dirt under it.
b) checkout (search for) "screen recalibration" which may help
c) buy/replace the screen/digitiser which is actually not that difficult to do & there are plenty of how-tos around.
