HAve had the BMW Pro nav on mine and been using it for 3 years. Lots of the pro services I don't use but having a dual map view is good.

Also love having the BMW phone app to use google to search for places and send direct the car nav. Using BMW routes on the laptop requires too much work.

Maps are okay, but London requires more frequent map updates.

Almost bought the jag in favour as the Jag allows POI uploads on a stick. This is why I still have my TT 1005 to show the POI's I want! aarrrrrggghhh!

thanks for that info mate. like you i almost went for the new jag XE which makes the bmw look plain borring but sadly it was taken of the scheme so i coudnt order one Sad
and i live in wmbley just on the outskirts of london so that should be fun.
how are their maps updated as it says it is covered for 3 years licence by bmw. does that mean i have to go to the dealer each time i need a map update.
think i will still be using my TT930 so i can use this great forums cam allerts.

Why, does London change from day to day then?

you do know this place is dying a death, and you shouldn't really act like a #### unless you want it to close because bored moderators haven't got anything else to do?

I wondered that.

No London doesn't change that much other than cycle superhighways. My maps are 2012 and they do me just fine.

I think that the last major change was in 1666 wasn't it?
Anyway, it seems that the moderators tolerate a bit of light heated banter on this site. And a jolly good job they do as well.

Oh, by the way is strongly object to the personal attack of calling me a ####. So if any bored moderators would like to delete that personal slur, I would greatly appreciate it. Dennis, where are you in my moment of need? Very Happy

Edit done Robert, thanks. But you completely missed the point.
The point was not the specific starred out word used, but the passing of a generally derogatory statement.

There is no need to use derogatory statements when you are losing a point of view. Very bad manners.

I was on the road, returning from overnight trip to Rosyth and banging off reports on cameras all the while (from rough memory about 40, I think, and not a single "seen again" amongst them).

Anyway, you didn't really want my heavy bored stuff, I'm too crude. And I wouldn't have seen it anyway - Beamers are way above my pay grade, so I never look at their posts except when I'm bored and there are only two new posts since I looked at 6:30am today.

EDITED TO ADD quote - I was on the road, returning from overnight trip to Rosyth - my cheapo Renault Kangoo van has now done 176,000 miles since new on 1st August 2013 to keep me from getting too bored.

I shall now hope a bored moderator comes along and closes this down on the grounds that you've just insulted me.
