i power off most times
i noticed today the mytrends was not offered, and when checking history noticed it only recorded 6miles for yesterday instead of 40+ miles
i've performed power off reset so will see, if that no good then will backup favourites and try full master reset |

If it's a map error, as you said, then no amount or hard resets ......... _________________ Satnav:

I've updated last night and done the power-off reset, so will see how it goes
I have noticed it losing GPS in the same location in Leeds around Hunslet (I assume it loses it as the bar along top goes all grey), I'm going to try and see which spot it actually disappears at, but it always reactivates in exactly the same spot, but wouldn't think driving under a single flyover would cause it to drop the signal. |

I wonder if these latest units are super sensitive, improved gps, so as well as getting a good signal it knows when it hasn't got one.
Centre of the house should do the same. _________________ Satnav:

I find the Garmin sat receiver a bit slow to get a lock on. My Samsung phone is nearly instant. Just tried it indoors and it took about 6 seconds and outside is much quicker, whereas my Garmin really struggles to get a lock indoors at all. Mind you, who uses a satnav indoors? But it would be more convenient if it got a lock so that you could do stuff indoors without having to poke around trying to get the GPS sim on. |

Yes, phones can be a tad quicker as most use A-GPS or an equivalent, so use phone masts to give them an initial 'quick fix' while waiting for an exact fix from the satellites. Garmin GPS don't have that ability and if you switch them on some distance from where they were last switched off it can take a few moments for them to 'lock on'. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

spoke to Garmin today regarding mytrends and performed a master reset sop will see if it starts working.
also been advised that even if connect using smartlink the system uses both DAB and Smartlink for traffic, even though shows only Smartlink. |

I'd be surprised if it did use the cable and Smartlink together. What does the traffic 'provider' say. _________________ Satnav:

It shows up smartlink and can't change to any other provider |

got official confirmation from garmin and the smartlink does override the built-in dab - only way to prevent this is not to use the smartlink features or notifications |
