I'm still impressed with the routeing on the now obsolete Microsoft MapPoint that started out as plain AutoRoute from a company in Ashford, Middlesex that they bought out.

That has always and still calculates proper routes sticking to sensible roads. It also has options where you can give each type of road a like or dislike by % and a speed so it's arrival time is quite accurate based on your driving style.

Just a shame it's results can't be offloaded to a PND.

Garmin suggest their devices adjust to cope with your driving style

I certainly found ETAs when I switched to a new device shot up until they adjusted and are now more realistic.

That's assuming one driver?

MapPoint caters for each journey indiviually whether it's Jack the Lad or me in the slow lane.
