Garmin's Speedcam Download fails.

I have just started to get a download failure when trying to get the Garmin speedcam update. As you know this is via Internet Explorer. I get all the way through checking for compatibility, ready for download and then it checks my device and immediately reports download failed.

Garmin were very quick to come back and gave me very detailed advice on removing and reinstalling Garmin Express which I assume is totally irrelevant as the download does not use Garmin Express - or does it under the bonnet?

Garmin have recently updated Express, it now is the route for downloading speed cameras, but you may need to update your version first. Latest is 4.1.28 for the PC

So why didn't they tell me that!

I am always reluctant to remove a program that works unless I really need to.

Well the uninstall worked, the install link failed but I found it going through the web site. It installed fine. It recognised the Sat Nav, all AOK?

No.

First things, they changed the password rules. My previous password was all Caps. Now I had to get a password reset and create a new password.

Then I found the Speed Cam icon but it does not recognise I have an active description. I think Microsoft could learn a few things from Garmin on how to make things difficult.

Just glad I use the camera database here, installs in minutes, week in week out. Never had an issue.
