Is that not where Hadrian meant to build his Wall, but screwed up because he used one of the newer TomToms? |

No, TomTom, I'm NOT angry, I'm just disappointed. I have just spent an hour repeatedly accepting to download and install the new critical update to TT Home and still it tells me there is a new critical update, blah, blah, blah. Then quits or dies or gives up. On restart, it says there's a critical update and away we go again!
Fortunately, at the same time I was multi tasking to fire up my Windoze 7 laptop - it takes half an hour to boot up from sleep mode, then another half hour to load the special Renault program to update the camera database on the SD card. So whilst that was going on, I pulled the SD card from the GO520 and updated the DB using the windoze laptop - thought I'd never say that, but after a multitude of restarts and redownloads and reinstalls of the critical update to TTHome on my Mac, I'm beginning to lose the will to live.
It seems absolutely unavoidable to go to TT Support website and have a heavy blast at this. For those of you who are my devoted fans over there, I may be a while (they never tell anybody you've been suspended, I shall simply not appear). _________________ Dennis

Too true!
PS my old moan about Kitchen ads over there FINALLY (after 18 + months!) got a statement saying they'd got an anti-spam program in place....oh yeah, so how come ANOTHER 2 popped up there this morning???!!!

Home still had me eligible for updates until this latest update. Still not received anything from TT, apart from the pop up, telling me my unit is not supported though. My subscription is valid until March 18 so we will see what happens.
Being an avid supporter of TT for well over 10 years and when I used to sell sat nav for a living TT was the brand I pushed as being far superior to anything else. I am sorry to say that when I updgrade I will most certainly be going elsewhere and will definitely not be recommending TT to anyone. _________________ Garmin Drive 51LMT-S EU

I don't think you will get an email until your current map subscription expires which is when, technically, they'll wash their hands of you and even MapShare stops being available to you.
Silly thing is that you have a current/valid map subscription but cannot "Operate my Go" to plan journeys etc? I would ask/challenge that if I were still allowed on their forum |

Operate my GO does not work for me either since the latest update to TomTom home. I have an original GO710 which is probably 10 years old now.
They have disabled this functionality in the update. It could be a mistake but if its deliberate I will restore an old backup of home and then prevent it from doing updates in the future. The only reason I use Home is to operate my GO for advance planning of trips.
The latest version of Home tells me that I won't be able to update the GO710 any more and then on the next screen suggests that I might like to buy updated maps for £39.99
As the latest TomTom devices don't support the features that I use most I won't be buying a new machine from TomTom. _________________ Paul |

Justbrowsing said "even MapShare stops being available to you".
Mapshare stopped working for my 1005Live when I updated to MyDrive version 4.1.2.2862 in September. |

Some of you are really hard to please. You will STILL be able to use your devices to navigate from here to there. PROVIDING you are here and there is still there. _________________ Dennis

Oh, and if you happened to need a kitchen, it will navigate you to a kitchen shop. _________________ Dennis

It wouldn't be a problem if there was a kitchen shop - TT would navigate to it. _________________ Dennis
