The installation of average speed cameras along the Aberdeen Bypass started yesterday.

The cameras will likely stay in place for over a year while work is been carried out between Blackdog and Balmedie on the A90.

A project spokesperson commented: "Since the beginning of the year, road users will have seen a significant increase in works across the project.

They added: "The 50mph speed limit, which was introduced in January this year, will remain unchanged and the introduction of the cameras will help to ensure that this is observed."
