Dubai police have announced the latest addition to their supercar arsenal.

A new Porsche 918 Spyder joins their elite fleet of police cars which include a Bugatti Veyron, Bentley Continental GT, Lamborghini Aventador and a Ferrari FF.

The £800,000 price of the Porsche does include an on-board speed camera, so at least they'll be able to recoup some of their money.

Dubai police chief, Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, said the car would be linked electronically with the police command and control centre.

Thousands of high-speed supercars inhabit the roads of Dubai and it's believed that high-powered police cars are necessary in a city with so many highways.
