As you can see, it has been removed, must have misinterpreted your previous post when you wrote; 'Haven't a clue what the .prev files are. Csv converter doesn't generate them'. |

They've always been there. At least 3 years.
At the top of the Converter menu bar is a 'new camera' option. That uses the .prev fiies to create some new .csv files that can be loaded into MapPoint to see where they all are.
TBH I've not used it for ages so probably a removal candidate if it's causing issues.
I called them .prev because they are a direct copy of the current .csv files before they get replaced with .gpx files. When the new set are downloaded it's easy to compare against each 'previous' file to identify the changes. _________________ Satnav:

It's just that for some obscure reason, I haven't noticed them before. Not quite sure why. It isn't as if there is just one hiding amongst all the others is it. Not having noticed them before in my working folder was why I erroneously suggested that it wasn't CSV converter that was putting them there. |

@ Kremmen: What triggers the 'over speed' warnings? As when I have that activated it seems to always give the warning to 'slow down' even doing 25 mph in a 30 mph zone, should this be 'check your speed' instead?... |

The overspeed function just uses Garmins own built in intelligence.
Can you have a look in one of the GPX files (Windows Notepad will do) and post one of the description lines ID's.
What I'm expecting is something like:
Gatso10#50 (for the mandatory warning)
Gatso10@50 (for the overspeed warning)
For both lines, looking further across you will see the 'proximity' statement which is the distance in metres that they are triggered. _________________ Satnav:

Forum didn't like me trying to post the code. Here is the link to my word doc in DropBox.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/g0913beqqh6t1q9/GPX%20Description%20Code.docx?dl=0 |

All I'm getting is one single line for camera 46 which is a mandatory alert at 223 metres.
I'll have a look on the PC later in case the download truncated it. _________________ Satnav:

@Kremmen, I do have a separate Over Speed GPX file where the proximity is 335 as opposed to 223 as on the Gatso 50 GPX set. Don't know if this could be of relevance.. |

Ah
Could be.
I don't know how Garmins logic works exactly but having the overspeed.gpx file alert you before the mandatory one could be relevent.
My successful testing has always been with the overspeed kicking in after I've had the mandatory one.
What you've got is the overspeed warning quite some way from the camera so may be influencing numerous warnings. _________________ Satnav:
