This problem is not unique to Garmin but seems to a problem with the UK traffic side of all Navteq/Here based units. The vauxhall/opel 900 unit just announces the same roads as closed as you drive along them.
Look to who holds the transmission contract for the UK to fix this error

I am getting some - but not all - of the map locations for traffic way off
For example J33 of the M4 where there is often a little traffic, reports correctly in the list view but if I click on it to show the map detail it zooms right out and goes over Europe. This is the same for a number of incidents - but not all - and not all in the same area
