sound on Camper 760

Hi all, I am a recent convert from Tom Tom and I have been following the guides etc to put the camera database on.

My question is, is there any difference in the wav or mp3 voice alerts, or can the Camper 760 only accept wav files? the reason I ask is that at high volumne the spoken alerts are very distorted, I have the wav file on at the moment and it took me ages to do it right I don't want to mess it up by trying to change it.

The old advice was that if the unit was able to play mp3 music files, when these everything except the washing up, then it could play mp3 camera files.

These days mp3 is rare on Garmin so you're probably wav only.

If your files are louder than the direction instructions then you will need to reduce them with an audio package.
I did reduce mine slightly using Adobe Audition on a batch process.

To be honest didn't make much difference so I reduced the Garmin volume to 50
