So I decided it was between the Garmin 2598 and 3598.
Leaning towards the cheaper 2598 as some people had issues with the 3598 and also traffic antenna is built in.
Went to Halfords here expecting to see neither, but they had a 3598 on display, and a 2597.
Played with both, and decided I much preferred the 3598. And it was £250, about a tenner cheaper than Amazon, cool.
"Ah we don't actually have any, discontinued (I knew that)"
Meh, but I'll get it off amazon.
Come home, the £260 one direct from amazon GONE.
One from 3rd party, "usually" shipped in 6 to 10 days.
I don't buy from 3rd party Amazon dealers, so...
Where is a reputable and good service vendor in UK that still has one? |

Ok, I've given up on the 3598!
Scoured the web without success (or success I would order from)
Just been to PC World (last gasp hope for a 3598) and there was a 2599 which doesn't have all I want, but does have pinch zoom that I do want.
So back to Garmin site looking for one with lifetime stuff and pinch zoom, and the voice control... |

Handtec are promising them in soon, go to handtec.co.uk, they are new and offered at £230. |

Thanks. Tried to ring them but no-one there at the weekend.
Always dubious of stock 'coming soon', been burnt before.
I'm cursed enough as it is. If I fell into a barrel of boobs, I'd come up sucking me thumb!  |

never thought of Argos!
I have since discovered I think it is the 2599 that I actually want (and can get) so have ordered one from amazon. Thanks though. |
