So dashcams may save the PND?

Same here.

I like what I see and read but I need to see the manual and also some owner reviews.

Wasn't there a couple of hours ago.

Available May they reckon and Halfords are charging full RRP. I've checked the accessory part numbers and this unit shares the same vehicle lead as the 2599 (010-11838-00) so I reckon I can plug my current lead straight in to get digital traffic and not have to dismantle the dash trim again.

Though it seems you may have to mount the device higher up the windscreen to get a good angle of view for the camera? I like friction dash mounts, so will have to change my habits.

My current unit location will be hit and miss as well. I need to look closer.

Why does the manual show the older 3598 style power lead with 'blob' that needs a separate aerial?

I'll see if Halfords are willing to open a box or wait a user review.

I've compared the manuals and the 2599 doesn't show a power lead so I can't compare.

Also, the NuviCam manual doesn't include 'Voice Command' so I'm not convinced yet that it has it although the adverts say it does.

It'll probably need a software update or two before it settles in...

My current dash location is OK as the vertical centre of the unit clears the dash with a bit to spare. The 6" unit will give extra clearance.

The killer for me is whether the traffic receiver is in the unit or the cable.

So, Mr Halford, I need to see the supplied cable and a quick demo of voice control as it's being advertised but not in the manual.

Ta ever so Very Happy
