I don't believe it!
Updated Express to 4.06 manually (see my posts above) yesterday.
Just tried to update Express to 4.0.7 through the usual screen in Express.
Got the same message of 'system incompatible' as previously.
Even after uninstalling and using the link http://software.garmin.com/en-GB/express.html sent by sussumb, absolutely refusing to update to 4.07 - in fact puts me back to v3.2.29.0.
What ever I do, it loads on the older version.

Maybe the servers are overloaded?

?!?

Weird, my 2 PCs updated without a hitch ... as they always do.

Yes, very strange.
I am the only user and Admin on this PC.
In the end I reloaded 4.0.6 as I still had the downloaded installer from yesterday.
That seemed to work and I am now back on 4.0.6.
Will try again in a few days.

I was thinking that. They seem to be coming thick and fast. Unlike the next map version that must have issues given the delay since it was announced.
I think I'll hang fire when it is released.

4.0.7.0. installed without issue.

One thing though, the tray icon keeps reporting that updates are available for both my 2597 and 2599 but when I accept to launch GE and do a scan it tells me both units are up to date !!!

I think v 4x has an issue so I'll cancel the tray icon.

That'll happen if you've only loaded a subset of the full EU map. I only load just Western Europe so I always get that warning. Also if you've deleted things like keyboard files etc to free up space.

I have checked v4 and it downloads maps fine, the issues it's having is synching with the numerous fitness devices that it has to deal with. The only real issue for us 'normal folk' is that the Vehicle and Voices update button isn't working correctly, but that doesn't really bother me. If anyone needs them they are still available via myDashboard in myGarmin.

I've supplied logs to the Garmin Express team so it should be corrected in v4.0.8

And now up to 4.0.8 - changelog notes released by Garmin below but the Vehicles and Voices still isn't working - Server Error message still present.

Garmin began rolling out Garmin Express v4.0.8.0 for the PC today. This version includes the following changes:
•Fixed software updates for fitness devices requiring multiple restarts to complete the update.
•Fixed some device registration issues regarding registering with Garmin Connect.
•Fixed an issue that caused installing maps to the computer to fail after upgrading to Express v4.x.
•Fixed an issue that caused reported software versions on some devices to not reflect the new version after an update.

I'm no longer getting the server error, have you rebooted your PC? Deleted then reassociated your nuvi?

I didn't need to but might help you.

Server message did indeed disappear last night. I had rebooted my PC as well and the message was still there; tried again circa 23:30 and all worked fine so assume Garmin in the US must have had some input into that given the time.

Works fine now.

v4.0.11 just released that allows map installation to a PC even after an initial map install.

and here's the confirmation of the map option.
