CN EU 2015.20 NTU is now loaded on the Garmin servers so the new map should be available soon'ish Very Happy

Second update for 2015 and we are only in August 2014 !

Is this release schedule normal?

Also: My 2597 via Garmin Express used to allow me to select other map regions. When I reloaded mine recently the only option in the dropdown box was 2015.10 so I couldn't load UK & ROI to replace my Europe wide version.

I know I would lose Voice Command but I was going to test my Map Issue with another region.

Well it's 'up to 4 a year' and the last one was a tad late, the North America one was a couple of weeks before ours. Both though are due in August so back on schedule.

I believe you'll only get the options to load other regions if there isn't space for a full map update. You can therefore fool Express by either removing any sd card (if one was required) or filling up internal space with random files (if you're not using a sd card).

I've toyed with downgrading to 'UK only' as I will never need full Europe but I'm not sure if it would give any benefit via not needing a card and a smaller map for the software to deal with.

I use the Western Europe map. The only downside of selecting a smaller region is that you will lose Voice Recognition IF your device has it.

The only upside AFAIK is that you might be able to do away with the sd card, but I use one and have seen no degradation in performance.

There was no update for the NT2014.40 map-set for my Nuvi 760 last time round and you only mention NTU maps for this update.

Does this mean that I have fallen foul of the caveat "lifetime updates...for as long as we are provided with new maps"? Sad

No, but I'm unable to check the NT version. I'm told it should also be released in August.

I just connected my new 2599 and it told me my maps were up to date with version 2015.10

I'm still bemused by this being the second release of 2015 maps in 2014.

Like the magazine publishers who release Octobers magazine in August.

US one was out a few days ago so shouldn't be long. Sometimes we get the map first, sometimes they do.
