I have been able to import POIs into CoPilot iOS (from v6 up to v9) by using eg Diskaid to copy a CSV into ...Copilot/EU/Save. This worked ok as of about a month ago.

Today I 'upgraded' (ie bought new license) from UK to Western Europe and downloaded the UK maps only (so far), but the CSV file will not import (I also tried an OV2); the app freezes on startup and then crashes. I tried both a old and newly created csv to no avail. About 6000 points in the file.

I realise that this is an unsupported feature (and ALK when they owned it denied it was possible), but has it now been properly nobbled?

I would not have upgraded had I thought it a problem Crying or Very sad

Hi,

I downloaded the above (Co-Pilot 9.6.0.638) and the latest EUR maps today.

I just downloded the CSV files for UK and EUR (the one file, as recommended in the instructions on here).

I used iFunbox to go to the folder as per the instructions.

I copied the two csv files over.
I deleted the CoPilot camera subfolder

Restarted the iPhone (I always do after installing anything)

CoPilot started, gave a message installing 33,000 or something POI's Smile

Looked at the map overview and a load of camera alerts were showing around Cambridge where I live, so it looks like it all worked for me.

Did you do anything different?

Jeff

p.s. I have iPhone 5S / 7.1.2

Mine is jailbroken, but that should not make any difference

Hi,

Per the instructions for Co-Pilot 8 in the Download section which states . . . .

2. When you install the database the software will create a subfolder within this 'user_places' folder. This sub folder will be named the same as the POI file so will be similar to 'pgpsw_uk_gatso' etc depending on which files were installed.

The folder called 'safetycams' is ALK's own database and can be deleted or backed up depending on personal preference..

3. Delete any folders (POI categories) that you wish to remove / update.

Maybe your version of co-pilot did not have speedcams to start with? If you haven't got the folder, just ignore the instructions!
