Nope but POIloader does. That's why I asked about the Converter v POILoader camera count.

I was on that and check it all the time, both report the same number. Random thought ... this couldn't be somehow connected with the fact it was me that changed the limits for these cameras??

Nah.

If those cameras are in the 50mph file then 50 it is, or in your case, not.

The only surefire way is to use excel to count the number of cameras in the 50 CSV file.

Then only process that single file, by removing all the others, turn off overspeed to just a line for line conversion and see if the number processed agrees.

As you say though, life's too short for all that.

Getting somewhere ... well done K Very Happy

I went into the Excel 50mph file and deleted all but those two cameras, which then showed correctly in BaseCamp as 50mph ... now to find out what there is in that file that's screwing around with my system!!

Edit: Okay, now it's getting REALLY weird. I've always named the file I send to my nuvi as PGPSW. I've just discovered that provided it's NOT called PGPSW then Basecamp displays the cameras correctly Rolling Eyes

Why that should be so I have no idea but at least I've found an answer to my problem Very Happy

I use PGPSW as well because it's the default as I have cams in D:/PGPSW so the name isn't issue.

Basecamp must have a cache somewhere. As I mentioned earlier, when I installed BC, it had remembered a whole list of cameras from a previous install that were linked to that unfiltered list so even though it had been uninstalled, about 6 months ago, not totally.

Did you uninstall BC then run CCleaner before reinstalling it ? Not saying that CC is the answer but worth trying.

It certainly does, in C:/Users/Dales/AppData/Local/Garmin/DeviceCache/10 digit device code/CustomPois/
And there are all the latest .gpi's its hoovered up recently.
But it doesn't show them on BaseCamp, it just keeps them in cache, as far as I can see.

Bingo ... prize goes to Dales Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Cache had loads of stuff there and emptying it sorted the whole shebang. Strange that a search for .gpi never picked them up though, all that time spent Twisted Evil

I must clear mine out as well. I've installed and uninstalled BC a few times to see what's going on.

Today is route and shaping points.

Is anyone getting *****_nospeed.gpx files?
And an overspeed.gpx one as well?

Mines started to produce them when I use the latest convertor?

Plus the Warning text change function doesn't work as it used too?

The nospeed files are just renames of the old tba files.

I was asked many times about the tba's and exactly what they were and decided to make the name more meaningful. That change also allowed me to remove the option to not process unverified cameras, because they wern't. They were just cameras where the submitter hadn't supplied the road speed. These are mainly pMobiles.

All you have to do, I'm sure it's in the latest helpfile, is copy the nospeed WAV and BMP files, from the install package, into your working directory.

The overspeed facility is also covered in the manual/help file. That has been there a few years now.

The text/banner screen hasn't been changed so if you can provide more detail.

Thanks for your help, I think I've sorted the nospeed issue, I just have to change the TBA ones to nospeed and then the system is happy.

As to the banner wording I get this error when I try to process it after doing the main processing....

"Gets Elements Arguement 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero. 5"

And then it throws me out of the program! Crying or Very sad

Have you got the latest version (on page 1 of this thread)? Why are you doing the TBAs yourself when the programme does it for you?

I can understand the nospeed issue M. In an effort to reduce PM's and queries I thought nospeed better than tba for the GPX conversion.

The fix to that is to recopy the WAV's and BMP's from the install pack.

Note: You need both the 'nospeed' and 'tba' files to match the CSV then the GPX.

I'll need to look into that text change error. I know what the Windows error is telling me but trapping the exact field and what triggers the error may take a while.

Do you have a screenshot to help ?
