I’ve updated a friend’s TomTom One today to the latest map. Can anyone tell me if the latest postcodes can be used on the One? There is no zip folder on the device that I can see.

Does he remember being able to enter full 7-digit postcodes?
It's not uncommon for the zip folder to disappear on an update, so I'd suggest adding it (along with the latest files) and see. It should work and even if it doesn't it won't do any harm. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)

The lady in question said that she used to be able to put in full post code. But going by the amount of times I have to sort her PC out I'm not so sure if I should belive her
Will try it, as you say it won't do any harm.
