Active live RDS dock for GO940.. any good ?

I have a go 940, and the windscreen mount has broken and needs to be replaced. i don’t know whether to buy the active 'RDS' dock or save 20 quid and just buy the standard dock. My question is it worth paying £50 for the RDS dock? How good is the traffic info? Is it reliable?

It's not bad, but not as good as the subscription "HD Traffic" service using the paid-for LIVE Services.

I've got one of those mounts and the reception is pretty good too.

The only thing is that the little suction pad on the end of the wire aerial is useless, but the receiver still gets good reception without it being stuck to the screen.

I've got the RDS mount as well ( pre-roaming days).

I seem to lose live services fairly often, with a strong Vodafone signal. and I've often wondered if the RDS software has anything to do with it. Any other thoughts on this?
