| I was wondering how you verify all the submissions in foreign countries? I spend a fair bit of time on the road in Europe every month and normally submit a few cameras every month. I see my name appear on the 'lifetime member' achievement bit every now and again, so cams must be seen by others I suppose. But how do you check the submissions for these spurious cams in the darkest parts of Eastern Germany or the middle of nowhere rural France etc.? |

In general we rely on multiple submissions. Sometimes users submit geo-tagged photo's that can speed up the process. Street View is also used sometimes but only as a 'benefit of doubt' confirmation for an existing lifetime member - we wouldn't award a lifetime sub based solely on streetview.
We have trusted submitters (those who have 'proved' themselves) who's submissions will also be put in under the 'benefit of doubt' mentioned above. If you're interested, you're a trusted submitter around Germany and Holland

Nice to be trusted :-)
Strangely, I don't seem to come across as many unknown camera locations in France (where I now live) compared to Germany and Holland. |
