With the addition of phones, satnav and headsets the need for a suitable external recharging power source is a real necessity.
I have a satnav, a SE mobile and a Scala headset. With a single power source available on my bike (single (very little space) ciggie socket under the seat) is there any other options to provide recharging on the move?
Been having a look at battery operated Duracell stuff but TBH I am rather confused about charging output and dont know if a single charger such as this will be detrimental to any of the units being charged.

I've only got limited - and I mean limited - info.
Mates have hard wired from the battery up to wherever they have the cradle for the satnav, usually the handle bars. But I have seen some where the cable and connections are tucked away and then brought out from under the seat / tank to fit onto the unit held on the tank bag.
Not sure but I thought there were a few options available for Scala systems.
I have used the Duracell mobile battery system a few times, bought it to charge my HTC Sensation when out on the bike using CA. It works a treat, I have the smaller model because it was going for 50% off at Robert Dyas, gives me another 9 hours standby or 3 hours talk (best figures). Works a treat and would recommend.
It would and could charge a satnav, but no idea of how long it would last.
The charge time is very quick, can use the phone whilst being charged.

I use a Silverline Car Cigarette Lighter Splitter and USB Adaptor from Amazon.co.uk wired to the battery and stored under the seat.
Edit, I also use a PowerMonkey for emergency, away from the bike, boosting. _________________ TomTom GO 730, GO 930, GO 940 & Rider2.
