Hi,
I use the PocketGPSWorld database (on both my TomTom unit and Android CamerAlert). However it is occasionally useful to have a radar detector when verifying, especially to determine whether a Gatso unit is a dummy one.
I have a Bel Target Euro 550 Radar Detector which has developed a fault. After the unit is switched on, it displays "Country", "UK", and then "Motorway" on the display. After a short period of time it starts to bleep and cycles the following messages on the display:
?L03 CAL
?MARKERS
According to a few Google searches the above messages mean that the unit has a fault in the firmware.
I contacted Bel and they replied "unfortunately that model has been discontinued we no longer repair that model. We are offering a trade in credit of $80.00 towards a purchase of a new one. But it would be here for U.S. models we do have international distributors". As I live in the UK I would prefer to have a UK model.
Can anybody recommend a fix or somebody who can fix it for a reasonable fee?
Thanks, _________________ Robert.
