pocketgpsworld.com
We're delighted to announce the launch of our new dedicated speed camera web portal - www.CamerAlert.com.

Here you will find details on all of our speed camera services, our dedicated Apple iOS and Android speed camera warning apps as well as FAQ's and user-guides.

We are working to make subscription and database download services available from that site which will make the service simpler to access and use for all of our subscribers.

Over time we will be moving all speed camera related service news, blog posts and forum discussion to this site.

And typically, the web server that CamerAlert.com runs on had an issue first thing and we lost access to all the sites that run on it just as the Newsletter was hitting inboxes.

We're working with the hosts to restore connectivity now.

We did say we were working on it!

It's up now but not sure how long that will be true. Seems the weight of 90,000 visitors is killing the server and all the other sites that run on it too.

We're throttling access at the moment until the initial surge dies down.

it seems to have been fairly stable for the last 90 minutes or so.. phew!

let's hope it copes with the 6pm surge when everyone gets home from work!

Admittedly I'm only using a netbook with a horizontal resolution of 1024 but I can't think of any other web site I visit that gives me a horizontal scrollbar. Aside from that looks great.

Total width is about 1040px... Hadn't taken Netbooks into consideration...

I'll see if it's something that can be adjusted within the preset theme...

Thanks for the feedback!

i've disabled the 'fixed' menu so even if your screen resolution isn't wide enough it will, at least, scroll along when you do the vertical scroll bar - i.e. all items will be viewable!

the actual width etc I will have to look into later as that will be rather tricky...

'No Alerets Case 2' here . I was of the understanding that a decision had been made fairly recently to include all known dummy cams as normal alerts.
