are there any apps like Trapster that will inform of illegal clampers and their sites?

Not that I know of, and as private clamping has or is being outlawed, there would be little point.

Not so. The Protection of Freedoms Bill published in February will make clamping illegal in England (as it always has been in Scotland). Let's hope it gets passed quickly.

Protection of Freedoms Bill was introduced in February and is expected to make the statute books late 2011 or early 2012.

It will make it unlawful to clamp vehicles by anyone other than police or councils.

lets hope so... in the meantime is there any app that will warn where the worst spots are?

Just don't park on private land and keep your eyes peeled for the signs if you are unsure.

My motorhome has a 1000 Watt inverter and I carry a 550 Watt angle grinder with a 3mm metal cutting wheel which can deal with problem devices. Not that I would recommend it but 3 pieces of clamp left in a neat pile was a joyous thing. Very Happy

that's a much better solution than ANY app and much more legal than a shotgun Cool
