Please remember that many (most?) users have dedicated gps units like TomToms and Garmin's etc that use the download page to get the database. The CamerAlert app doesn't use this route. I can't remember off hand where the specific notes for CamerAlert are regarding this though.
The submission page is here (accessible from the menu on the site). When you browse the map in the app it can take ages to refresh if you don't have a gps signal but the do show eventually.

Looked at map on submission page for Switzerland and found a few cameras but not as many as I found along route I took. If I go there again I will be more cautious and look to submit more if I get the chance.
