Yes, but we're familiar with your sharp, northern wit, so it didn't seem strange to us, and it was 1.30 this morning when I read it, and I don't get into April Fool's mode until I wake up on the 1st. Well, those are my excuses anyway, after all you don't really expect me to admit I'm gullible, do you?

But it was a good one, MaFt! Laughing

Part of my gull was the spreadsheets, since I use them myself for almost everything. Twenty years ago, I even used 123 to write contract documents (using the 4Word Add-in)! I wrote a macro sending Esc-P characters to an epson dot matrix printer to write my initials instead of using a pen (never found anything to use it on though).

Well
M8TJT does, in fact, email me every week with a load of heading / direction updates however the email in the article is completely fabricated. I do occasionally forget to process his heading updates but he's never sent such a rude email!

I was lulled into believing it at first. Then , half way down the post I thought that MaFt was either resigning and this was his way of burning his bridges or he had just "Flipped" and was ranting to get over all of the "Where's my lifetime sub?" questions and all of our "good ideas" which just become "extra work" for him. Either way M8TJT didn't look good. Thankfully for me though, reading the article coincided with Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams, on this mornings BBC news, reviewing the April Fools spoofs appearing in today's newspapers and the "penny dropped".

But honestly, Look at MaFt's avitar, does he look like he been spending 50 hours a week at McDonalds for the last 5 years?

Good one MaFt.
M8TJT, Sorry for believing that you could be soooooo rude?

I think that he was being serious, then had second thoughts about it so tried to cover it up by using April 1 as an excuse Very Happy I think that he had better get on and write another, correct, one as he seems to have plenty of spare time on his hands Very Happy

He's like all the other kids - alll those E numbers and stuff in burgers and fizzy drinks get his hormones whizzing round so much he hardly knows what he's doing at times.

Well I must say everyone has taken this far better than my spoof last year concerning the (as yet unannounced GO 950) but with added Google Talk.

We had a Freephone TT No. to call to claim one of 50 that were being given away.

I had an irate email in January of this year from a member whose sub had auto-renewed. The email said that he would never use our services again as well I knew and demanded a refund.

When I enquired as to why he was so angry he said it was because of my April Fool Spoof. He was one of the many who had taken the bait and called TT to claim a free 950.

Some people Laughing

At least TT took it in good humour. They called me at midday laughing and asked if I could remove the number as they had received dozens of calls on the subject.
