So you've got some images on your PC?
First, there are forum rules about the maximum size of the pictures allowed, otherwise it messes up the "look" of the forum.
So keep them no more than 600 pixels in width and no more than 800 pixels in height. You can use any "picture" or "photo editing" software you happen to have on your PC to re-size them if necessary (even the built-in "MS Paint" will do).
Now you need to upload them to somewhere on the internet, so the forum software can find them.
Many ISPs give you a few hundred megabytes of storage space to call your own. See their documentation on how to use it.
Once you have the pictures uploaded there, each one will have it's own web-address or URL. Just copy that into your post and surround it with the 'tags' {IMG} and {/IMG} (but using square brackets not curly ones).
If all that sounds too much like hard work, you can use an on-line photo-sharing site such as Photobucket to store your pictures. (I'll use them for this example, but there are plenty of others you may like to try).
1. Go to http://photobucket.com/
2. Sign up for a free account
3. Sign in on that account
4. Use the "Upload now" button to upload your pictures, just following their easy instructions (you can decide how private you want to keep the pictures and split them into different albums, if you like)
5. Once they are uploaded, you should see them all in "My albums"
Hover your mouse over one and a box should appear with a bunch of stuff in it and at the bottom it should say "IMG code" followed by some code.
6. Copy that code - just by clicking on it.
7. Come back to your forum post and paste the code you just copied. It should look like this {IMG}http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee156/[i]your-account-name/filename.jpg{/IMG} (except the brackets will be square not curly).
That's it!
If you click on the "Preview" button at the bottom, you should now see your picture in your post.
Obviously you can add several pictures at once and spread them round the text to illustrate certain points you're making. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)
