Thought I'd highlight my early positive experience with the above kit.... I have a TTR2 which I like a lot, and use a lot, and the original cardo scala headset worked well... I now have a regular pillion and decided to splash out (£139 via Amazon) on the above.
I tried it yesterday for the first time and thought it worthwhile to share my first impressions. The helmet fitment is exactly the same and works well on my Shoei XR1000; the wire to the extra RH ear piece is easy to hide. Pairing with the TTR worked perfectly, and the two heaadsets are ready set on opening the box.
Quality of "Jane's" voice is better than the first one , but the main thing is the effectiveness of the intercom - which is easily audible and clear up to at least 90mph _________________ Larry Botheras

Me and my brother just returned from a 5,600km trip Uk-Europe-UK, with the Cardo Scala units and Tomtom Rider 2. The Cardo Scala units are great, providing excellent communications even at 160kmh and upto 500m/1km in clear traffic conditions, 200-500m in traffic and good in the cities (around corners upto 100/200m).
Generally we had them on for upto 12hrs a day with no problems, using gps voice commands only in the city areas.
Thanks Cardo |

Cardo's don't support A2DP(?) protocol (Stereo Bluetooth) so it may be that Nuvi only has this?
Pairing can be a pain in the butt too. Try resetting the Cardo unit, especially if you have already paired it with something else (e.g. your phone). |

I have been told by a reputable GPS specialist that the Cardo Scala's will only interface with either the TomTom Rider or the Garmin motorcycle units.
I was going to get the Navman S70 to interface with the Scala's but apparently all the car units use a different protocol on the bluetooth.
Now I am re-thinking the situation.
Not wanting to hijack this thread, but does anybody know if the Scala headset supplied with the TomTom Rider Europe V2 will interface with other Scala headsets? |

I can't answer this specifically, but there's a good site http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-intercoms/bluetooth-intercom.htm that lists lots of bike bluetooth stuff. |

Yes the Scala headset supplied with TT Rider 2 does work with other Cardo units, I have paired with Q2 sets and Nokia phones. |
